Our Christmas mini sessions are back, short, relaxed and full of festive fun for children, siblings and families.
Jump out of a giant red and gold present against twinkling green lights, snuggle up by our cosy fireplace scene, settle into our Christmas sleigh or enjoy some snowball fun at the snowy letterbox. Our four festive scenes bring plenty of opportunities for smiles, laughter and Christmas memories.

From cosy cuddles to snowball giggles.
Our Christmas mini sessions are about more than sitting still and smiling. There’s room for giggles, cuddles and those little expressions you’ll want to remember.
There are four festive scenes to enjoy this year, each with its own Christmas character.
Giant Christmas present: Jump out of our oversized red and gold present against the rich green, twinkling backdrop, a lovely way to capture surprised smiles and playful expressions.
Cosy fireplace: Settle in for a warm, snug Christmas portrait, perfect for festive pyjamas, little cuddles and quieter moments.
Christmas sleigh: Our red and white sleigh is ready for children, dogs or both to sit together for a festive portrait. It’s a lovely way to include your four-legged family members in the Christmas fun.
Snowy letterbox: Bring along your letter to Santa if you’ve written one, and post it in our snowy Christmas letterbox. Then join in a little snowball fun, children and parents alike love it, and those delighted faces make wonderful photographs!
We’ll guide you through your 20-minute session, choosing a mix of scenes and activities to suit your family and the time available.
If you have posted a letter with us, a personalised reply will be discreetly ready for you to take away at the end of your shoot.
Bring your Christmas pyjamas, favourite festive jumpers or a cosy scarf. Parents and grandparents are welcome to join in, and four-legged family members are welcome too.

Send a little Christmas joy with a personalised digital card featuring your favourite photograph from your session.
We’ll create your card and email it to you, ready to forward to as many family and friends as you like. It’s a thoughtful alternative to posting paper cards, with no envelopes or stamps needed and fewer paper cards to send.
Add a personalised digital Christmas card to Gold, Frankincense or Myrrh for £15. This is an optional extra and is not included in the package price.
A Few Things You Might Be Wondering
How long is the session?
Each Christmas mini session lasts 20 minutes. Please arrive ready to begin at your booked time so we can make the most of your session.
Who can take part?
Children, siblings and families are welcome, from babies through to grandparents. If you’re planning a larger family group, contact us before booking so we can check the set will suit everyone.
Can our dog join in?
Yes — pets are welcome! Our handmade sledge can seat children, dogs or both for a festive portrait. Please let us know when booking if you’ll be bringing yours.
What should we wear?
Christmas pyjamas, festive jumpers and cosy outfits all work beautifully. Cream, deep red and warm neutrals look lovely against the green setting. Choose something comfortable that feels like you.
What if my child is shy?
They don’t need to arrive ready to perform. We’ll offer gentle encouragement and keep things relaxed. Let us know beforehand if there’s anything that would help your child feel more comfortable.
Which backgrounds will we use?
We have four festive scenes: a giant red and gold present against green bokeh lights, the cosy fireplace, our handmade red and white sledge, and the snowy letterbox with snowball fun. We’ll choose a mix to suit your family and the time available, so not every scene, activity and pose made be possible within your 20 minute session.
Can parents join in the snowball fun?
Absolutely! The snowy letterbox scene is a chance for children and parents to enjoy a little snowball throwing together. It’s often those unplanned giggles and delighted reactions that make the loveliest photographs.
Is Santa at the session?
These are Christmas photography sessions rather than a visit with Santa. If your child has written a letter to Santa, bring it along to post in our snowy Christmas letterbox. Children can receive a personalised reply.
What is included in the price?
Your 20-minute session and your chosen package’s high-resolution digital images: 3 with Gold, 5 with Frankincense or 15 with Myrrh. Every package also includes a Christmas Gallery Phone App. Myrrh also includes 3 mounted 7×5-inch prints. Gold and Frankincense do not include prints.
Is the Christmas Gallery Phone App included?
Yes, a personalised Christmas Gallery Phone App is included with Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh, alongside your package’s high-resolution digital images. Keep your Christmas photographs handy on your phone to enjoy and show family and friends.
How do we receive our photographs?
You’ll be asked choose your included photographs from a private online gallery and receive them as digital downloads. Your Christmas Gallery Phone App is included too. Myrrh includes 3 mounted 7×5-inch prints. Delivery timings and arrangements for the mounted prints will be provided with your booking information.
Can we add a personalised Christmas card?
Yes, add a personalised digital Christmas card to any package for £15. We’ll create it using your favourite photograph from your session and email it to you. You can then forward it by email to as many family and friends as you like, a lovely way to send Christmas wishes while using fewer paper cards. No printed cards are included in this add-on.

What if we need to change our booking?
Please contact Creative Portraits as soon as possible. See the cancellation and rescheduling policy linked at checkout for the terms that apply to your booking.
Can I Upgrade My Package?
Yes this happens every Year. Just let us know at any point and pay the difference. You may also add the Digital Christmas Card at any point to.
Terms & Conditions
- You may choose the photos for your 'package` from a password protected on-line gallery. Digital photos will be available for immediate delivery (download) - Prints will be available to pick up from the studio.
- Eack Package includes a Gallery App for your phone. This will have the same images as purchased. (ie 3, 5 or ALL depending on the package).
- This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
- The booking fee is non-refundable within 48 hours of the appointment however, we will always do our utmost to find an alternative slot.
